FTC Regulations Impacting Bloggers and All Internet Marketers
If you haven’t been living in a Internet Marketing cave, then you should already know that the in 2009 the FTC Federal Trade Commission released a 81 page report regarding the new guidelines surrounding paid sponsorships and product reviews and recommendations which are the driving force behind Internet Marketing.

It is crucial that all Internet Marketers, Merchants and Affiliates go through this document to define what, if any, actions they need to take in order to operate in compliance. These rules became effective on December 1st of 2009.
You need to know that it includes web properties such as Squidoo, Blogger, Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr and other social networking sites. That is why it is crucially important to fully read through and fully grasp the report.
Just so you know, The FTC has stated clearly that the FTC is not going to engage in fining websites for absence of a FTC disclosure. The intent of the report and the new guidelines are to guide Internet Marketers in the direction of engaging in ethical business practices.
Translated; if you are not running Internet Marketing scams or otherwise attempting to deceive consumers; it is highly improbable that you will be impacted by these new guidelines.
